I had a good stay at the Holiday Inn Express Athens, with friendly and welcoming staff making the check-in process a breeze. The room was clean and decent-sized, complete with a fridge and microwave, but the bathroom was a bit small. The only downside was that it felt pricey for a weeknight stay, especially since the area has a few sketchy spots. Overall, it’s a solid choice for being close to campus and downtown.
